CONCORD 55+ SOCIAL GROUP

April 4th meeting.

RProjFlyerOur presenters this afternoon are here from the Finnish Heritage Museum in Fairport Harbor. The museum is a non-profit organization formed in 2002 to preserve & perpetuate Finnish heritage & cultural traditions.

We are fortunate to have with us the museum’s archivist Anne Pohto, Donna Lesiacsek, chairperson of their genealogy committee, and researcher Ron Toivonen.

Both Donna & Ron are longtime Concord Township residents.

Sometimes a series of happy accidents is so tightly knit, watching them unravel can make a person dizzy with emotion. Such is the case with Ann, Donna & Ron when the Finnish Heritage Museum received an email from Switzerland that started a four-thousand-mile quest for lost relatives.

Listen to their story and then you decide, was it Fate, Luck or Devine Intervention?
